This policy explains exactly what Sanyasi Store collects, why, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. It is written to describe what this website actually does — not what a template says a website might do.
Who you are dealing with

What we collect
Only what is needed to take your money lawfully and get a parcel to your door:
- Name — to address the parcel and the tax invoice.
- Email address — to send your order confirmation, GST invoice and tracking details.
- Phone number — passed to the courier so they can reach you on the day of delivery.
- Delivery address, city, state and PIN code — to deliver, and because your state determines the GST split (CGST+SGST or IGST) that must appear on your invoice.
- Order details — what you bought, the amount paid, and the payment reference.
We do not ask for your date of birth, your gender, or anything else we have no use for. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
What we never see
Your card, UPI and banking details never touch our servers. Payment is handled entirely by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We receive only a payment reference, the amount, and the method used (for example “card” or “UPI”) — never a card number, CVV, UPI PIN or password.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party profiling of your visit.
The only thing stored in your browser is your shopping cart, kept in your own device's local storage so it survives a page refresh. It never leaves your device except as the order you choose to place, it contains no personal information, and clearing your browser data deletes it.
How we use your information
- To process, pack, dispatch and deliver your order.
- To email you the confirmation, the GST tax invoice and the tracking number.
- To answer you when you write to support.
- To meet our legal obligations under GST and tax law.
We do not send marketing email unless you have separately asked us to, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anybody, for any purpose, ever.
Who else sees your data
Only the parties who have to, and only the part they need:
| Razorpay | Processes your payment. Their own privacy policy governs the card and UPI details you enter with them. |
| Google (Sheets) | Our order records are stored in a private Google Sheet, in a Google account controlled by us. |
| Our courier partner | Receives your name, delivery address and phone number — and nothing else. |
| Our email provider | Delivers your confirmation and dispatch emails. |
| Our accountant and the tax authorities | Invoice records, as required by law. |
We may also disclose information where we are legally compelled to — a court order, or a lawful demand from a government authority.
How your data is protected
- The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type at checkout is encrypted in transit.
- Order records sit in a private Google Sheet reachable only through a restricted service account.
- The admin console is password-protected and is not linked from anywhere on the public site.
- Invoice links are cryptographically signed, so one customer's invoice cannot be found by guessing another customer's invoice number.
No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your data we will tell you, and the relevant authority, without undue delay.
How long we keep it
Invoice and order records are retained for at least six years, because Section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 requires it. Support correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your data — which we will do, except for invoice records we are legally required to keep;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave.
Write to support@sanyasi.store from the email address you ordered with, and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified by email to customers with an order in progress.
